Covid Stay

Are you visiting us or planning a visit with us soon?

Here’s what to expect…

Our priority at all times is to keep you safe and to make you feel like you are home from home. We want to ensure that you are comfortable enough to enjoy the hotel and its grounds, with confidence that we are doing everything possible to keep you safe. Unfortunately, there has to be a few guidelines and rules in place as I’m sure you understand, these are as follows: –

Reception and Checking In

Our reception team will be here to greet you with a smile as always but we are implementing systems to reduce contact between staff and other guests.  Our check-in time is 2:30 pm, please inform reception of your estimated check-in time, this is to prevent queuing at reception. On arrival, we will have your room key and breakfast ordering menu.

Arrival at the hotel

Please arrive as close to the time you requested checkin. If you are going to miss your time please contact reception and they will be able to suggest an alternative time. We are not offering an escorted porter service at this time but one of our team will be happy to bring your luggage once you are settled in your room or if you go out.

Payments

We are accepting cash and card in the restaurant, but unfortunately, we will not be offering any chargeback to rooms. Room service will be available if required, just call reception or the bar area on 01437 720387.

Bedrooms

The bedrooms are provided with toiletries, due to ongoing restrictions we have had to take some of the usual soft furnishings out of the room. Tea and Coffee making facilities will remain in all bedrooms, and we still have our mini fridge on the landing which contains fresh milk which can be accessed at any time, but we do highly recommend using our sanitising station before and not place anything back in there afterwards.

Getting around the hotel

We are operating at lower occupancy due to the governmental guidance and advice meaning that there is more space for guests to move around the hotel, there are however pinch points in the reception area which will be clearly signed, please can we ask that you use our one way system to avoid meeting people in these areas. We please ask that a face covering/mask is worn before entering the hotel and whilst walking around the premises, but can be removed once you have reached your room. If you are dining in our restaurant once seated face coverings/masks can be removed.

Food and Beverage

We will have our restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Please ensure you have booked your dining time ahead of arrival to avoid disappointment. An accommodation booking does not guarantee availability in our restaurant.

Breakfast –

Breakfast will be served in our restaurant and bar area. You will have a pre-booked time and you will have chosen your breakfast choices the night before – all explained upon check in.  Your waiter will attend your table with any cooked breakfast and beverage choices.

Lunch –

We are running a slightly reduced menu for lunch between 12noon – 3 pm alongside our sandwich menu from 12noon until 3 pm. Tables can be booked prior to your arrival.

Dinner –

Dinner service is from 5.30 pm – 9 pm.  Once again, your table will need to be pre-booked before you arrive and your waiter will attend your table, as bar service is no longer available. A copy of our menu will be available in your room and also on our website.

Menus – we are sure you understand that offering a full menu during this period is not practicable due to social distancing in the kitchen, but we have done our utmost best to provide you with our most popular dishes using local suppliers and ingredients. We do ask that you please make us aware in advance of any allergies and dietary requirements so our kitchen can plan in advance

Housekeeping

Housekeeping will be working to a very strict socially distant schedule.  Rooms will no longer be serviced during your stay as regulations & guidelines restrict us from entering a residents room once checked in.  If required though we can provide fresh linen, plus any extra toiletries required, which would then be subsequently be left in a sealed bag outside your door.  Please liaise with reception if you require this service.

Check out

On the morning of your departure, if you head down to reception you will receive your bill for the duration of your stay plus any extras that may have been added. .

If you have any queries or are dissatisfied with your stay in any way, we request that you telephone reception who will be happy to assist you before settling up your bill. Only in the circumstance that the matter cannot be resolved over the phone should you attend reception where you can discuss the issue with the receptionist or the manager on duty.
